SEEDS Applications Now Closed!
Applications are now closed for the 2014-2015 SEEDS progamme - our pioneering artist development initiative.
Thank you to everyone who applied - we look forward to reading your submissions over the couple of weeks.
The Rough Magic SEEDS Programme is a structured development initiative for emerging theatre practitioners. Now in its twelfth year, the SEEDS Programme has introduced a new generation of Irish theatre-makers to the professional theatre world.
Funded by the Arts Council, the programme lasts for 20-24 months and is individually curated to provide artists with the support they need to develop their craft and advance their careers.
Mentoring by established and highly experienced artists lies at the heart of the process, as well as international research trips, an international placement with a leading practitioner or organisation and hands-on experience assisting on Rough Magic productions. The SEEDS artists are encouraged to fully engage with the company and its work.
The SEEDS Programme is open to emerging playwrights, directors, designers (lighting, set and costume), composers and sound designers, production managers and producers, based on the island of Ireland, whose work has previously been staged on a semi-professional, professional (including staged or rehearsed readings), student or fringe basis or have completed accredited professional training in their specialism.
