Rough Magic is responding, along with the entire sector, to the current national crisis. Our two upcoming events – the Trinity Long Room Hub presentation of The Choir Project as a work in development on April 8th, and the launch of the Methuen Rough Magic anthology on April 22nd – will now be postponed until later in the year. Happily the anthology is already available in Hodges Figgis; and work on The Choir Project continues apace.
Huge sympathy to all the companies and theatres who are facing major cancellation and its consequences. This situation is a particularly cruel one for the arts, especially the freelance workforce who will now need all our support. We are sure the sector will demonstrate its characteristic resilience and respond with all its creative power. This crisis is temporary – in facing it Rough Magic will join our colleagues across the country.
