SEEDS Applications 2022

We are delighted to announce that applications will open this week for SEEDS, Rough Magic’s artist development programme.

Since 2001 Rough Magic has been a pioneer of artist development in Irish theatre. SEEDS has been Ireland’s most comprehensive development programme and we are excited to meet members of the next generation of talented Irish theatre makers!

The company will now accept applications for the following strands:

• Directing
• Producing
• Costume Design
• Lighting Design
• Video Design
• Set Design
• Sound Design

The successful candidates will be placed with the company for an 18-month engagement beginning in January 2023. Participants will be given access to desk space with the company in our Dublin office, offered mentorship from the Rough Magic artistic team, support for their own independent projects and employment as fully paid apprentices on at least one Rough Magic production.

Applications will open on Friday 23rd September. The closing date for submissions will be Friday 14th October at 5pm.
